Some boattails at the GM Nationals at Carlisle. Barry Smith, ROA RC from West Virginia did a fine job getting this event organized. We hope to do it again in 2002 - be there!!!
Also at the show: Buick's LaCrosse concept car - could the next Riviera look something like this?
Another wild concept on hand was Pontiac's 1999 GTO. Great color!
OK, OK - I know - this isn't a Buick either, but it was still fun to see the FIRST unveiling of Chevy's 2002 Camaro. It was cool to see the reaction of GM fans. Chevy drove this and another Camaro covered in white sheets except for a small area for the driver to see through the windshield! These Camaros were lead to the stage by 2 police Camaros (a '68 & a '96). It was very cool - the crowd went nuts!
Now you see it - now you don't! The made the mistake of inviting the audience to check out the new cars....and they did!
